Difficult to build a common platform

Localisation is necessary to cater to linguistic diversity. Mere translation is insufficient; a deeper understanding of cultural nuances is required.

How we solve?

Commerce through communities

We are enabling assisted commerce through offline communities. Any existing community can start their own store front with Beet. All they need to do is leverage their network to make sales. Beet takes care of the rest by providing supply, logistics, and payments infrastructure.

By communities, we mean existing local communities such as farming communities, religious groups, and neighbourhood associations etc. Not a new community formed online.

How it works

Share. Assist. Fulfill.

We understand Bharat

Bharat (aka India) is a massive consumer market, but it is very different from other markets. Every 150 kilometers, the language, culture, and practices change. Building a common platform for all the people is a challenging, and they need enough guidance to get things done online.

Have you ever wondered why Super App concepts are not working in India? People perceive Gpay for peer-to-peer money transfer, while PhonePe or Paytm is used for paying a merchant. On the other hand, everyone uses Whatsapp, but they do not consider it for payments. It's a very different market.

Our team comes from small towns and has typical Bharat user traits. With strong research and product experience, we make a difference.

Why now

Millions of new internet users are coming online in India. They are very different from the initial waves of internet users - be it income profiles, education levels, language skills, or social/cultural milieus. They will be driven not just by intent, but impulse too. This calls for easier product discovery, emphasis on smaller and unbranded products, prioritizing value over convenience, leveraging influencers and social media, offering bulk-buying for better pricing, using Hinglish and Indic languages, and leveraging viral content to drive customer acquisition.

With eCommerce 2.0, online shopping is likely to evolve from being a hobby to a habit. This could also see a rise in women shoppers in smaller cities, expand India’s online market and make it truly inclusive. Beet aspires to be make this change happen.
